After survival, we walk with you.

A place to connect, reflect, rebuild your confidence, and consider what comes next.

We are a community. It begins with you.

A small group of survivors, led by survivors.

This is healing ground. You are welcome here.

We're forming our very first group now.

We connect, learn, and reflect together — no pressure to retell or explain what happened to you. Just space to hear your own voice again, at your own pace.

We do not rush healing. We do not require storytelling. We do not define people by what they endured.

Your story belongs to you. We're here to help you write your next chapter.

Restoring confidence, security, and independence to survivors of intimate partner violence.

Through trauma-informed support, mentorship, and advocacy, we help break the cycle of abuse — one survivor, one community, at a time.

Learn How We're Building This

Immediate safety matters. But reaching safety is not the end of rebuilding.

Life after abuse can involve rebuilding confidence, identity, relationships, boundaries, financial stability, community, decision-making, and a sense of what comes next. Graceful Confidence is being built for that next chapter.

We create supportive pathways where healing unfolds with dignity, choice, and time.

Crisis Response

Meets the emergency. Gets a survivor to safety.

Graceful Confidence

Meets what comes after. Walks alongside the years of rebuilding.

Together

We work alongside shelters, law enforcement, and counselors — not in place of them.

Grace, extended to yourself.

Grace means extending favor. We help you extend that grace to yourself — because healing takes time, and giving yourself that time is how confidence comes back.

Founded in 2023.

We are a community. It begins with you. We're survivor-led, virtual, and volunteer-run today, with a founding board we're actively growing.

Some of our work happens through partnerships with licensed professionals.

Healing doesn't happen all at once. It happens in seasons.

Some seeds take one season. Others take several. We measure the season — not the harvest.

Peer Support is where it begins. We're forming our very first group now — more chapters are enrolling soon.

What happens after survival?

Debbie Barentine founded Graceful Confidence from lived experience. After leaving an abusive marriage, she discovered that reaching safety was only the beginning. The years that followed involved rebuilding confidence, identity, relationships, boundaries, and a sense of what came next.

Graceful Confidence grew from a question shaped by that experience: what happens after survival? Survivor leadership remains central to how this organization is built and led.
